is this loom worth the investment? what type is it? i am aware it is missing peices. is it fixable for.reasonable price?

Can't tell you what it's worth or if it's worth buying.  If you're looking for a shaft loom to weave textiles, it's not the one.  On the other hand, a tapestry weaver might look at it and get real excited... I'm not a tapestry weaver.
