I am new to weaving.  In my first project, the number of hddtles were only 2 off of being centered. I did not see any problem in the fabric when this happened This time, I miscounted the number of heddles needed.  There will be 12 heddles on each of the 4 harnesses  more on one than the other.  The yarn is 8/2 cotton.  There should be 98 heddles on each harness.   Is this important in this case or in general?

I tried to find it this has been a topic before, but the search didn't return results.   Is there a way to search the older posts?  Thank you for any help you can give me.

We all have heddles left over after threading. As long as you don't have massive quantities tipping the balance of the shaft on one side, it won't make any difference.
