I have what is probalby a really stupid question regarding the Cotton Clouds RH Kit for making Everyday Placemats.  This pattern uses a thick cotton rug filler (to my unschooled eye it looks like a posh clothesline) and thin cotton rug warp.  I've warped the loom according to the instructions and have the width that I'm supposed to.  For the weft you alternate rows of the thick stuff and the thin stuff.

The pattern tells me to do this for 23.5 inches, with a plain weave at either end of 15 inches each to form the hem at top and bottom.  Now, the finished placemats are supposed to be about 13 x 20.  That makes sense with my warp width which i a little under 14.  The picture of the placemats shows the long rows of cotton rug filler running horizontally across the placemat, which I presumed was the way the weft wa woven in. however, if I follow the directions and weave for 23.5 inches, then the long dimension of the placemat would mean that the filler rows are vertical.  Has anyone made this pattern and am I really going crazy?

Someone on ravelry has made this kit and they show the thick rug filler going vertically.  so apparently what I am weaving is just fine, and the pic included in the kit is wrong.  my guess is the picture comes from somoene doing an earlier project on a floor loom, and the RH instructions are an adaptation that leads to a slightly different placemat.

got an answer - I have seen this kit but never really looked closely at it - I thought what you have woven was looking pretty good!
