I've warped hand dyed 8/2 tencel for a scarf.  I am going to use 24 EPI, should I use a 12 dent reed and do 2 per dent or an 8 dent reed and do 3 per dent?  I don't even know if it matters, but I would like to use what is best for the yarn.

Thanks in advance,

C

Either should be fine.  :)

I am planning to do my Bonnie Tarses horoscope shawl in 10/2 tencel (which I need to dye). The recommended set was 32 epi - the only way I can get that is to use my 8 dent reed with 4 ends/dent. Should I do that, or should I use my 15 dent reed with 2 ends/dent and only a 30 epi sett?

I'd go ahead and use your 8 dent reed.  I generally use 2/16 cotton at 4 per dent in my 8 dent reed for an epi of 32.

I've used 4 ends in a 16 dent reed, really fine polyster thread. Planning on using 5 sometime soon as well. So as long as there is not over crowding causing the warp to stick, go for it. :)
