Assuming we all survive the Mayan apocalypse on Friday, what are your resolutions for the upcoming year? Besides doing something weaverly everyday, I want to turn my spare bedroom into a fber haven and get all of my stashes organized. Who needs a spare bedroom anyway. Right now I have stuff scattered throughout the house and it needs to get organized. I also want to spend time learning more of what I can do on my 4 s loom, take at least one weaving class and learn how to spin. This in in addition to the normal lose weight, excersise more and eat healthier. How about the rest of you? Tina

thing I would like to accomplish is to clean out the garage and turn it into a weaving space.  It has a heater (not sure if it works).  Until I get that accomplished I want to organize my stash.  It has become larger than I had expected.  Before weaving I would buy yarn for a knitting project as I go.  However, since I've started weaving I have started collecting quite the stash.

I'm going to clear some space along a wall and put shelving unit in to hold 30 clear tubs for yarns only, sorted by color, for my tapestry wall!

Let me see, I want to weave enough fabric for at least three dresses.  Okay, let me be real.....if I could just weave at least three times a week I would be thrilled.

I want to keep weaving a priority every day. Of course life will get in the way some days but since I started doing something weaverly almost every day, I have completed more projects and I am getting to be a better weaver! Oh and all those boxes of yarn, they have GOT to find a home!

This year, I hope to find some ways that fibre arts, and especially weaving can support and encourage community in my area. And maybe do a little housekeeping in the process... Wishing you all a wonderful new year!

I want to keep weaving in my daily life. It is what drives me. I love it!

I use up as I buy. Otherwise it can become a monster. I know what it is like with wood working. All those scraps that keep making a huge pile. Sometimes, a few go into the recyling facility to produce heat. :D Plus I don't have all the room for that kind of chaos. ;)

what you'd like to be doing for the rest of the year. (Then repeat.)

Yep. For me — that would cetainly be more weaving.

Happy New Year, everyone!
