WIF ‘n Proof is the only fully featured weaving application that runs on any smartphone or tablet running iOS 3.0 or higher or Android 2.1 or higher.  This includes all Apple devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad), the Kindle Fire, the Nook Color, and most Android devices such as Samsung, HTC, Toshiba, Acer and Motorola smartphones and tablets.  If your student/customer or guild member has any of these device, they will benefit from using WIF ‘n Proof.


WIF ‘n Proof does two things very well:  

  1. It allows the weaver to import a WIF file for assistance at the loom.  It displays the threading chart and follows along as you dress the loom, indicating each shaft in turn.  It displays the treadling chart or lift plan and follows along as you weave the cloth, indicating each pick in turn.  For a beginning or an advanced weaver, such assistance replaces paper and pencil and WIF ‘n Proof always remembers your place.
  2. It includes a complete design center, allowing weavers to enter a draft from a magazine, or to use the design center to create a draft of their own.  The weaver can also edit any WIF file imported from any source to make it unique.  Any WIF file created or edited in the design center can be exported to a computer for safekeeping.
