Sounds like a ton of fun.  What does the Gordon Clan tartan look like?

I still have the Hay or Hays tartan to do for my Dad's side of the family but I have a fine silk from Sandy and Elf's Redfish Dyepot and I am intimidated when it comes to the threading and weaving because I have never used fine threads before.  Have you?   Any suggestions would be great, help would be better!!!

Sandy was over today to look at my loom.  I turns out the pedals are too short for the use of 8 shafts and I just love the 8 shaft pattern I found called Earl's Canvas or M&W and if I knew how to post a photo I would show you.  My problem is the tie- up with short pedal.  So I paid enough I am going to call him and get longer ones.

 

Any suggestions for this one?  I'm just full of questions aren't I?

PS Why do you call yourself buffaloweaver?  I have a great uncle that raised them and have always be fasinated by them.
