This is what happens to lucky singles!

I have several times received single yarns from kind people, although I’d - probably - never knit with them. I plied them with each other into mixed 2-ply yarns and waited to see what they would/could be used for. After my first scarf, they practically asked to be woven and I decided I would put the lessons I learnt from Winter scarf nr 1 - about warping and selvages - into practice. Another day – one that I should have spent at serious studies for my next exam - passed in a fuzz of wool and by bedtime I could pull another scarf out of the Ashford Knitter’s Loom. I’m very happy with the result. A good use of singles – and a memorable experience that I feel sure I will come to use again. They “tweedy” feel of the color mixes is comfy.
