Beautiful work. Doubleweave or finnvev if I'm not wrong. Beautiful details in both sirkles. Part of a fair or competition since I see a number on it?

I would love details, too!

Thank you all for kind comments : ) Yes, this is Finweave (flensvev) or figured double weave. In both warp and weft there are wool, Fårö vävullgarn 6/1 (6.000 m/kilo) and linen 16/2. The reed I used was 30/10, 2 threads of wool in heddle and 1 thread of linen in heddle *2, 4 threads (2 wool + 2 linen) in dent. The wool layer was threaded in rose path and the linen layer in plain weave. The width of the project was 90 cm and length 140 cm I wove this for an exhibition some hand-crafters had in a closed cellulose- fabric many years ago, and the inspiration for the color was found in some of their earlier paper-production, and the motives in the wall-hanging was of the fabric buildings and the felling timber ahead of the process in the fabric premises. This project was a very time-consuming process, but very fun and very fascinating as the motives came forward. This was my first and so far only project in this technique : )
