Julia, you are doing some interesting work.  It is fun to see the playful approach to combining color and handwork on a rigid heddle, and how you are working from an inspiration photo.  Another direction to take this one might be to try a finer weft (one or all colors) to make the warp floats a little shorter, perhaps repeating a color with a single separating pick to give the same color effect with the shorter floats.

I think your scarf is just beautiful. The colors are perfect for the Water color name. Nice work, I hope I can do as well some day.

Notes

I was inspired by the colors on a paper flower from a gift, then I went and picked the yarn from that. I picked a pattern from the Weaver’s Idea Book on Page 100, Warp and Weft Faced Floats, called the Double Windowpane, Mock Waffle Weave. I used one string heddle along with my 10dpi rigid heddle, warping the loom with the light silver colored yarn, then I rotated through the Celadon, Grass Green, & Teal yarn colors as I weaved the scarf for this pattern.
