I don't like when I go to the trouble of making something for someone they won't use it, I make it to be used! LOL I gave my mom for dish towels and they, like yours, are hanging in her kitchen to look at but not to be used. I think when I go to visit her this summer I will use them! I knew this was one of you projects from the gorgeous colors. You always have a wonderful color palette - can't wait to see the finished product. Tina

Tina, i so  *so* feel for you ;) i bet LOTS of weavers do!

good to  know you have plans to use those tea-towels (hey, once you do i bet your mother will be more likely to use them herself!)

and of course thank you so much for encouraging me like this

Notes

began this set (the coasters & center "place mat") over in my project  of "kitchen garden": http://weavolution.com/project/miryam-chavah/kitchen-garden

the other tea-towels from that set are being hung up but not used or touched at all (only for show) and yes that breaks my heart, so i changed my mind about giving this last to a grown-up family member (i knew she would never use it) and have decided instead to make it for younger children, a  niece  & nephew, now THEY will use it! hahah ;) (i can envision it all covered with stains from tea, soda, cookie crumbs!)

warp for the place-mats will be all mostly green, with a bit of same threads/colors i used for the coasters.....
