I am fixing to ship 4 48" frame kits. When I was derusting and painting I noted that the spring for the heddles bars where missing. A friend of mine is a piano tuner. So I got some piano wire from him, But no holes in the frame? It is no big thing,  but how does Macomber lock in the heddel bars on this type of frame?

I believe that type of frame uses a brass brad, the kind that fold over and are used with papers(think office supply, heavy duty size) Does this make sense??
