Keep up the nice work. Just to make conversation here, a local weaver, well 30 miles north of here, buys her yarn where I do locally from a farm that sells Briggs and Little yarns. The store, if you will, also sells wool to the mill by the same name. But anyway, I only mentioned this because she weaves tartans for the local "Gathering of the Scots" in her nearby town. According to the shop keeper she is big customer of her yarns. This is a brand of yarn that has been around for the longest time in Canada. Anyway we get the yarns in 4 oz skeins. The 2 ply I have been using, just a beginner here, is 215 yards in length. It's $3.75 a skein tax inclusive. Wool yarn is a lot cheaper here in NB than in neighboring State of Maine. I've noticed skeins in Maine are often just 3.5 oz in comparison.

Notes

Finally received last of yarn order on Tuesday from an order in February, so now to finish the "promised" commission project for my cousin in Christainsburg, Va. for her son and grandson.  I did warp this front to back through the reed as opposed to my last tartan project with the bamboo that I warped back to front. It makes one want to say "look Ma, no more tangles"  :) .  I intend to have  3 finished scarves out of this 10 yard warp.

June 1. Just got finished weaving, hemstitching the ends and cleaning off the loom. The final result was 9 yards 6 inches and the longest weave I have done so far. I still need to wet finish and hope it will soften as it is still a bit stiff and scratchy. I am thinking of cutting this up to make at least 3 scarves. I`ll come back after supper and post final photos.

Last 3 photos,,,,now to plan another new weave project.
