Hey — I am on the same page! I have been sampling 4 shaft waffle weaves from the Oscar Beriau book. Something interesting about his patterns, the warps are doubled in the threading. By doubled, I mean two threads in adjacent heddles, on the same shaft! (These look like they could be mug rugs or pot holders if they ever stop being "samples.")

Waffle weave samples for Alderman Study Group.  4 shaft draft from Fabrics that Go Bump.  Sock yarn (doubled) for both warp and weft.  Solid warp, multi weft.
