I put on a dummy warp that was two yards long and 12 epi. I planned to tie on several scarf warps. Each warp will weave two scarves. There are two different yarns, a fingering weight sett at 12 epi and a light worsted set at 10 epi. All of the yarns are spun by a local yarn company "Spinderella".
I also will be making two different sizes of scarf, my long (women's) scarf is 6" x 82" and the short (men's) is 10" x 45". And I will be using two different weave structures a dornik twill for the fingering yarn and a straight twill for the light worsted. I threaded the dummy warp as a straight draw on 8 shafts, so I can tie up the treadles for either structure.
DW1 (dummy warp one) is the long length, fingering weight yarn, in natural white and beige colors, with a dornik twill. Able to finish two scarves.
DW2 is the short length, fingering weight yarn, in natural white and beige colors, with a dornik twill. Messed up on the warp length and only got one and a half scarves.
DW3 is the short length, light worsted weight yarn, straight twill with stripes. Warp in natural with amethyst and russet in the stripes. Wove two scarves with slightly different colored wefts, natural and brown. I wove cross stripes on one end on both of the scarves.
DW4 is the short length, light worsted weight yarn, straight twill with stripes. Warp in amethyst with russet and yellow green in the stripes. Wove two scarves, only one with cross stripes and two different colors of weft amethyst and grape vine.
