Thanks, all of you. Yes those edges give that project that extra interest, doesn't it? And it makes a very light and airy fabric, since the two layers only bind in the little windows.

A fun and very different type of double weave. The off-set edges made it very difficult to keep an eye on the selvedge that was hidden under the top layer, but I nearly succeeded :-)
