Sorry folks.  We are the victims of some kind of incompatibility.  Claudia say this system is supported, Webex won't let me on.

We will reschedule.

would you please spell for me the auxillarie that you use if you have hard water?

Karren K. Brito

Sodium hexametaphoshphate, easier to remember as sodium hexa-meta-phosphate.  Sold by Pro-Chem as Metaphos, maybe available locally at pool suppliers or industrial cleaning supplier.

I'm back from Norman Kennedy's waulking tonight and checking in.  I tried to go to Google Docs but it wants a password from me.

I'll be gone all day tomorrow with guild meeting and distaff workshop.

We got past the password part, but now Googledocs says that our email address doesn't have permission for the document.  We've tried all of our addresses, so something is still amiss.  Perhaps, if you don't mind, you could send an email to the address you used?

Thanks,

Peggy

Peggy, how did you try to get on google docs?  Claudia got on right away when she followed the link in the email invitation I sent her. You will have to sign in the first time with the same email that I used to give you permission to view the document.  I will send you a private message with that email addy.

Please try again.

I have not worked with a volumetric flask before. I see the line on it.How in the heck am i going to get the dye powder in there? If I measure the dye in a beaker with a small amount of water and then pour it in the flask and fill to the line with water I will still have dye residue in the beaker which wouldn't make a 1% solution. What am I missing?

Yep, a funnel or a piece of wax paper rolled into a cone.  I helps to put a bit of water in the flask first and shake to dissolve before adding all the water.  Guess what next week's lesson is ;).
