I gave my copy of a Color Grid card to a quilter. It did help to choose colors, but they felt too predictable. Ì think that I would prefer a Color Wheel.  I realize certain rules will make winning color combinations. I still like an element of surprise, an unexpected color added to the combination..

Have you woven a project with an unexpected color added in?

Side note. Queezle, did you grab any new colors to try, while visiting in Austin for your work? It is a city of handcrafters, along with musicians.

Hmmm, that is something I should have thought about.  My major non-work activity was hanging around the Congress Street bridge to see the large population of bats fly - so maybe black with sunset deep blue sky?

My most surprising color combination was this turned Ms and Os project.  It was mostly made just to play with color.

You got me laughing. Bat colors. And, gave me an idea. I am a nature lover. I will make a list of color combinations and proportions I see from my deck at different times of day (and night.)
