I'm just curious how fast it takes other people to thread a simple pattern.  I timed myself on the last batch of threads (straight draw on 24 shafts, using 120/2 silk in a four-thread by four-thread cross) and I averaged about 11.5 seconds per heddle, or about 5.5 threads per minute.  I have no idea whether this is fast or slow, and I'd like to know whether this is a reasonable speed or whether I should be working on making my threading more efficient.

I do think I'd be significantly faster in thicker yarns.  Half my time was taken up trying to separate those itty-bitty cobweb threads from each other!  (So, any tips on how to do that more efficiently would be appreciated!)

 Speed comes with practice.

Accuracy is more to be sought after because rethreading 50 or more threads because of athreading error takes more time in the long run.

The rate you mention is quite enough to be considered efficient - if you don't have threading errors to correct later.
