It's beautiful! I love the structural effect. Very tactile.

I find using variegated yarn to good effect really hard - you did it  - nice!

Wow!  Lots and lots to think about in this project, to wonderful effect.  I love the idea of using colour-and-weave type drafts with different weights, rather than colours, of yarn - brilliant!!  And the different directionality you get in the blocks, depending on the way the noro is flowing.  Wow.

A very beautiful scarf. It is great to see experimenting with new ways and yarns and old drafts.

Thank you all for your appreciative words.

That encourages me to another experiment. Thick & Thin goes on!

Nicely done. It's a very subtle effect. I would like to make one like this noro scarf.

I agree about the selection of yarn for the log cabin pattern. I used a variegated color yarn with a white yarn for a scarf. But because the variegated color yarn included a white section, the log cabin would completely disappear!

So I'll be using a color variegated yarn without white, and a white yarn for contrast on a log cabin scarf.

Have a good day!

Love, what you did. I like to use Noro yarns too and this gives me another way. I've been wondering about how to use the "thick n' thin", so thank you for sharing your beautiful scarf.

Notes
This log cabin thing has not let me go.  I followed the  RH-WAL, and it worked in my head. Then there was the idea with thick and thin yarn to point out  the beautiful colorway of Noro wool. The Elastic yarn ( Colcolastic crincles after wet finish) was used in the hope of rip-structure ( that didn`t work as much as I expected).  The colours came out nice, but in my next trial I would take a unicolour yarn for the  weft.
