You may find some help if your loom came with explanation of how to thread with 2 heddles.  Or check out some of the RH books, such as The Idea Book.  I found it helps to have a diagram showing the relationship between threads and their heddles.  To answer your number question, you will have 3 threads going through each slot in Heddle 1 and 1 thread going through each hole on Heddle 1.  Same is true with Heddle 2, but which threads is the tricky part.  See if you can find the diagram someplace.  Have fun.

you need to find a diagram on how the threads go through each heddle - The Weaver's Idea Book by Jane PAtrick is a good place to start

Thank you for your answer Chris, I should have explained more clearly what I meant, I do understand how to thread and weave with two heddles have made many projects with them, I was just mystified after calculated how many threads and I started threading how many I placed in each slot, I figured it out it was 4 ( 8 threads) which gave me 6 in the slot and two in the hole and this I threaded through to the front heddle and the tea towels turned out really nicely, would post a picture here of them but seem to be unable to. Many thanks for your reply.
