hi  i am a self taught weaver.  I want to make a table runner with M & W 2/2 twill draft.  I will be using 2/16 yarn and have a 12 dent reed.  Could some one help me figure the

sett.  I never seem to get it right...always too tight.  thanks

Depends on how firm you want it.  I generally use 2/16 cotton from 32 to 36 epi.

I have had success using wraps/inch X .66 for twill sett.  I figure the set first, then use a reed chart to find the sley pattern for what ever reed I am using.  The reed size doesn't govern the sett, but it does govern the sley pattern.
