I have pondering the reference to rosette twill in the Cambridge History of Western Textiles for a number of years. I have searched the internet and can only really find one explanation of this. The explanation is on a site that looks trustworthy, but I thought it worth asking a group of people I feel I know and can rely on instead.

So who knows what rosette twill is? Do you have a draft?

Thanks in advance!

Happy weaving,

Erica

Just to clarify, by explanation, are you thinking of history (think it is pretty old) or description of the pattern?

Guess I have thought of it as a sort of diamond twill?

Not sure if you mean this site:

But I would consider Bender Jørgensen reliable?

Interesting there is more than one Rosette twill?

Also interesting (as it shows variations):
