<p>22 cards, after threading seperate into two packs (1) and (2) with cards 1,2 being in the first, 3-5 in the second, etc. "Start" or "Home" position has holes D and A on top. Pack one goes forward for four picks, while at the same time pack two goes forward as well for four picks. Then pack one goes forward four more, while pack two goes back for four. I find it helpful to turn them at the same time to make sure I did both.</p>
