I want to get a 8 shaft portable table loom to use when traveling. I have used a Leclerc Voyager 4 shaft and liked it, but want to consider others. I am looking at the Northwest Looms Pioneer and Frieda. Wondering if anyone has experience with both looms, what do you like, dislike? Which would you recommend? Are there problems with the open reed and open heddles on the Pioneer? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Pioneer.  Northwest makes beautiful equipment; very well made.  The open heddles on the Pioneer would be difficult to travel with.  The reed is capped after sleying and secure, but the heddles are not.
