Help!   I was the (un) lucky recipient of a mixed warp containing rayon ribbon yarn and mohair boucle.... the weft is mohair/silk yarn.  What is the best way to finish?  I am worried about the different shrink rates between the mohair and rayon if I wet finish and brush.....

I have successfully put rayon ribbon into mixed warps for scarves.  For me, there were no problems with the final product, after finishing it did not pucker, etc.  My rayon ribbon did not shrink at all.  I guess the question is how your mohair/silk will respond.

If it were me, I would wet finish gently, and see how it responds.  Then you can decide if you want to full the yarn, or brush, or not.  With a gentle finish, you can go back and finish more aggresively.

Best of luck and let us see how it turns out!
