You are right--these are hemostats, only too coarse to use on blood vessels during surgery!  Same idea though.

I am just making such a change: selling two large looms located in my basement & replacing with a Louet David to be in my dining room.  I hated the unfinished basement and feel such a relief now that I can weave above ground LOL!  I think it  is important 'where' we weave.

Have you got it on the loom yet?

I have only just joined and so I didn't pick it up before.

I often make my warps in sections each section may be a different yarn and different colour I then sort out in the raddle before winding on. The only time I tried warping front to back I lost the lot. It was a hairy tweed yarn if I remember right. I use several back sticks so put the back loop of each section on each stick then they can sit above each other and all get tied to hen spread each warp section seperatly bottom first into the raddle. A good bang at the choke tie on each layer and it should all settle neatly. If you realy want having raddled them you \can amalgamate the sections all onto one stick but I don't find this is necessary.

Just my thoughts.

Andrew.
