Have so little time to devote. This morning, grabbed a pinecone from the tree, came in, munselled it, went to my chip books and i think i nailed it! Will post vitals later.

at least your interperation of it. 

If you look closely at the pinecone there are parts that are lighter, browner, blacker....   You can see how some one else could have a different color that they thought was a perfect match.  You could make a whole pallette out of the colors in this pinecone.

I bet you got it on your first try!

Looks perfect.  And what a great choice to use something that doesn't look like it will shift too much.
