Jlread, I did a preliminary search for you, WOW, what a rip off! There is a great bookstore in Victoria, British Columbia called Munro's. They said they will order any book in Canada, U.S., U.K. Or France for you. Maybe you could tell them the original cost and inquire how much they could get it for? You just contact them. These monographs are gems. If you're doing reseach and just need to read it, it seemed like there were places on line where you could do that. Good luck, I have searched for these monographs myself!

I wonder if Virginia Harvey would have any? Is she still living?

Couldn't find one personal thing about her....nothing..only a listing of books

I did Virginia Harvey tapestry, and came up with Virginia I. Harvey Whidby Weavers Guild. It didn't say in the article if she was a member there. This is way off topic, but it's an interesting article. I hope you find the monograph. Have you tried WeaveTech? I don't know IF you can put classifies on there site, but it would say on the first page, or maybe you know already.

Do a search of the title in http://Books.google.com and it will give a link to "Find in a Library". Depending on the interlibrary loan system, you should be able to get a copy, especially through University systems.

If you are a member of complex weavers they may have it for loan in their library.

The monograph is in the CW library. For the price of membership you also get the Journal three times a year. It's an excellent magazine.

Library might be the best option.

Not talking about the book in question.

There was an old out of print book I saw on Amazon one time on weaving. They wanted a small fortune for it. I think I found an older copy of it online free, but also the last edition in a library to. Nothing in it really that more modern books hadn't written about.

Are definitely still around, and don't cost an arm and a leg. I saw them at MAFA this summer, one of the vendors had them. I have seen them in the Convergence vendor hall in recent years. Any weaving shop that buys out studios are likely to acquire them, and may not want to take the time to post them online with used booksellers.

Unicorn was the entity reprinting them in recent history. I just went to their website and they list the book for $17.95. However, when I clicked the button to remove the out-of-print titles, this one disappeared. Others in the series are still available. It might be worth a call to Unicorn find out. If there is enough demand, they may print another run...

If I see one in my travels for $25 or less, shall I assume that is a "reasonable price" and pick one up for you?
