I thought you may get a kick out of my version of a homemade warping frame.  I have found that weaving is an expensive hobby, so I decided to make this myself.  I started with an old wod frame I found in the garage.  It is solid wood and sturdy.  I then drilled holes, and glued dowels in the holes.  So why is it green?  I decided it needed to be very smooth so the yarns do not get caught or snagged.  I had some high gloss paint, it was green, so I used it.  What  I really love about this frame is that I can hang it on a over the door hook when I need it, no hooks or holes in the wall.  The triple hook holds it perfectly balanced. It may look the hooks will get in the way, but they do not.

PS.  this is a orange and blue Florida gator scarf that has been wound.

I've been thinking about doing something similar - without the green paint!

Recycling, repurposing, and utilizing found items, it's all good! Nice Job, Frank.

Nice, that almost looks like FAMU green for the paint color. I made (playing)a draft on WeaveDesign that has orange/blue for UF, garnet/gold for FSU and orange/green for FAMU all in the same weave. Either it gets along with everyone in North Florida or it creates a constant battle.

it is actually Jonh Deere Green.  The Orange and Blue scarf is for my nephew a UF gator grad.  I am real nice to make it for him, I hope I do not gag on the colors, as I am a FSU grad.
