Still very new to weaving with my 4harness floor loom. Learning mostly on my own little bits at a time. Can someone please describe to me what I should do with the shuttle when I've pulled the thread through - where do I put it when I beat? Do I hold it somehow with one hand and beat with the other or place it elsewhere? Silly question to you weaving veterans, I'm sure, but I really don't know. Thanks a bunch!

Thank you Laura. I found your video "throwing the shuttle."  Do you beat with the shed open or closed?

My rhythms is such that I beat as the shed is closing. Do what feels right, getting familiar with the tools until you can develop your own rhythms. Cheers Laura
