After all of the studying and reading everything I can, I know that I am going to want to try to weave a scarf on my backstrap.  I have found a kit on Halycon that I would like to try. It's a second project kit for the easy weaver.  Will someone tell me what size heddle you think I should purchase.  I think the width of the scarf is 6 to 9 inches.  So it would have to be probably 10" wide or more? What dent size should I get?

Bobbie, The width of your heddle should be somewhat wider than the intended piece - perhaps a 12" (this isn't that critical as long as your heddle is wider - NEVER narrower). Dent size is determined by your thread size not the final width of the piece. If you are attempting to weave a balanced weave on the backstrap for the first time, I strongly recommend that you practice with a shorter and narrower warp than a scarf. A temple is essential for maintaining the width.
