Well, i finally got around to mixing my stocks. Initially i was just going to do the yellows, but once i got started, with all my equipment out, i kept going. I'll start dyeing later today - i had a terrible time with violet - just getting it into the flask took 6 tries! Between static electricity and the thick paste glumping all my tools - i tried glass flasks, waxed paper, parchment paper - it was trial and error - finally got it by going very slowly.

Any suggestions for static electricity? - i was using plastic weigh boats, and some of the dye jumped like mexican jumping beans.

Good use for six packs!

Violet turns in to a non-useful glue when you paste it up.  I don't remember any problems dissolving it in moving water. Static, we need more humdity or June in MI.
