Hi Ellen - Just figured out how, so here they are!

This is a pattern I've been wanting to do for a long time too.  I was thinking about using cotton for placemats, but tencel for a scarf sounds luscious.  Are you done yet?  Does it still have a nice drape?

Still weaving, about half done but it feels nice when I loosen the tension.  We'll see after washing....  I did hear an idea from another weaver that she did this pattern in 3/2 for placemats.  Might be fast and nicely thick!

Wow, that's turning out beautiful!  The hand dyed warp is so beautifully set off by the purple solid.

Can't wait to see the other side!

I love your whole project, but especially the hand dyed warps. Do you dye them on the warping board or after they are on the loom? I'm fascinated by the random colors and wonder how people get them.

Would love a copy of the instructions for this.

Notes

Finally getting around to doing the windows double weave I've admired for ages.  Every example I've ever seen, I've loved, whether fine sewing thread or heavy chenille.  I'm using stash yarns as this is a "sample" scarf to test for weight and sett.  I'm using solid purple for one layer and a series of three small hand-dyed warps for the other layer.  Each layer is plain weave sett at 20 which I'm hoping is not too loose.  Looks nice so far and the Tencel is great as it isn't sticking at all. Enjoyed the weaving. This is a photo before the fringe was twisted.
