March went out like a lion in many parts of the country. Let's hope April settles down a bit weatherwise. As we start the 2nd quarter of the calendar year I look back on the first three months and have to say I am impressed with the amount of work you have accomplished so far this year. The projects are many and varied and all inspirational. It makes me happy to see the friendly interaction among the group - the support, encouragement, shared laughter and tears are all wonderful. Keep up the good work and weave on!

I hope those going to Maryland Sheep and Wool will schedule a gathering! :)

I almost have my Chairman's Challenge warp on my loom. I'm a bit embarassed that I had to ask for an extension, but it will be done in time for the Exhibition, yes!!!

I have also made it to 6" of damask, only 30 some odd inches left to go! :)

I got my M's and O's in orange off the loom, and a shadow weave dish towel warp measured, warp beamed, and heddles threaded.  Can I make it in time to have two finished towels off to Mom and MIL (in the mail)?  I think they have to hit the mail on Wednesday.  I think I can make it!

And Laura, I loved that video on the pants!  Wow!

I got most of my Chairman's Challenge warp threaded today, so I hope tpmweave that off next weeke and get it turned in! I should have a fair amount with which to play afterward as well!

A little color of blue this morning with an eastern blue bird. They have just arrived at a nest box.

Enjoy. :)

Great colors! I might have to pull out some similar yarns and design something new! :)

Today has mostly been doing paperwork for my portfolio. Under the advisement of my mentor, I have rethought how I will display my portfolio. I need to compromise between space saving, both for the display and future storage and asthetics. I found some inexpensive "display" boxes. I bought one for each type of weave (balanced, weft faced, and warp faced). Then I had to reprint everything on more sturdy card stock, that took some time. The reprinting allowed me to take a last look at my notes and add some more details.
