I am weaving a sampler using the book "A Handweaver's Pattern Book" by Marguerite Porter Davison as my guide.  My sampler will include all the weave patterns listed in this book under the chapter "Twill Treadlings".  As a new weaver I thought this would be a good way to learn how to create different weave patterns.

It is an EXCELLENT way to learn!

These samplers are great to hang onto for reference and when no longer needed, can be sewn up into items like eye glass cases, needle nests, pincushions, etc.

Have fun—and don't forget to play with lots of weft colors too! You can learn about structure and color at the same time.
