I have searched the internet and weaving books.  I cannot find a description or diagram on how to tie-up from harness to treadle (no lamms).

Can someone please help me?

Hi Marge,

The tie-up is the same as any other loom.  You just don't have the lamms.  Tie from the center of the bottom of the shaft, directly to the treadle.  The treadles need to be close together and will most likely pile on top of one another if you have more than two.

When you do not have lamms, you may find that the shafts will not stay parallel, especially with a narrow warp.  Then you need to see page 242 of the Big Book of Weaving.  There is a diagram on that page for putting in some extra warp threads on each side of the loom to control the shaft bars.  And elastics also help.  If you need help, or need these resources, send me an email and I will send you more information.  [email protected]
