Formerly known as Aotearoa Textile Forum run by Glenys Mann, this series of workshops has been renamed to Aotearoa Creative Textiles and taken over by two Kiwi women.  (Sorry, I can't remember their names, but a Rose comes to mind?)

2009 workshops will be held 5-9 October, at Whitireia Community Polytechnic, Kapiti Campus, in Paraparaumu, north of Wellington.  From memory, the dates of workshops are set either just before or shortly after the WOW (Wearable Arts) shows in Wellington.

Their website is www.aotearoacreativetextiles.blogspot.com - contact is Mary Wilson at [email protected] - phone 64--04-237-3103 ext 4202.

Sorry it took me a while to post this one.  (And yes, I'm definitely feeling a bit strange because both the Forum and WOW were originally held in Nelson.  Oh, well.)

Hi there,

Do you happen to have any references or Maori-style weaving workshops or courses?

Not overtly.  But Neke Moa's jewelry, to me, have lots of Maori design element.  I know a good teacher around here, well, up north west a little, if you're even in t his region.
