For a test piece it is very nice. You can't go wrong with black and grey - especially to test tonal variations.

Pic1-weaving wider has started.

Pic2- A liftplan of double huck lace on a 10 shaft straight draw.

The rest of the pics from this piece of weaving will be a recording of my endless fascination with different combinations of colour and weave. This weaving is a test piece to show tone/value(?). Hence my use of black yarn with three other shades of grey. Eventually I will translate the tones of grey into other (brighter!)colours.

Last photo shows the cloth just having been taken off the loom. Next Step...wet finishing.
