Finished weaving - Remove cloth from the loom

While the scarf is still on the loom, cut the weft leaving a 12 inch tail. Thread this tail through a yarn needle. Needleweave it in front of the last pick... (Then, remove cloth from loom and finish with fringe.)

Instruction to end the weft has me confused.  Needleweave in front of last pick? Does it mean to insert a 1 to 2 inch tail between the last two rows?

but yes, it means to weave in the tail. Sometimes I weave in the tail up the selvedge instead.

Thanks to you, endorph, I will be able to finish my project today. I am meeting up with several friends tomorrow. I was wanting to have something to show them my new hobby.

Yes, the instructions are not very clear. Weave back to the second last row, following that row's shed. This means the last row locks the tail in.

If you are working on a narrow band, and your needle is long enough, you can simply insert it the open shed of the second last row, travelling the same direction as the weft. When the last row is woven, cut the weft, thread the needle and pull the end through.

The thread tail is tucked, following the good explanations you gave. The fabric is off the loom.

I liked the fringe shown in the pattern, but the design wouldn't go from the page to my fingers. My friend showed me a simple twisted fringe. I have 2 doctor appointments (waiting room appointments) this week. I will finish my fringe then. Once finished, I will post a picture and project notes.

Thank you, Everyone.
