I like the table runner that has the point at each end. Is it possible to weave that shape? Or, do you weave a rectangle and cut the shape?

To weave triangle ends, you narrow the weft by a few threads continuously, leaving those warp ends attached. After cutting off, the exposed warp ends would either be made into fringe or needlewoven back into the piece.

Sara, the triangle shape solution is simple, like weaving itself. This craft always leaves me asking, "Why did I not think of that?"

Table runner,  obi belt, wall hanging. I have many ideas to practice the triangle ends.

is tension and beat as you narrow down.  It can change on you, I experienced that when weaving "V" shawls.

Do you mean...

Tension. Be careful and do not pull the warp thread tighter at the change in direction when shaping the point?

Beat. Watch for packing down the threads tighter/looser when shaping the point?

was as the warp narrowed, forming the point, I found I needed to watch my beat, it was very easy to end up beating too hard because there were less ends being crossed.  As for the tension, when advancing just be careful that the tension is the same as it was when weaving full width, again less ends being crossed can change it up.  Just a couple of things to be aware of.
