I was weaving a scarf but my selvedges are unacceptable so now I'm weaving an echo weave sampler and playing with colors. I've tried 6 weft colors with the existing warp. Now I want to sample with new warp colors. I want to replace one warp color to a different one in each of four 2 inch sections. Do I do this the same way as replacing a broken warp thread, just more of them or is there another way. 8/2 tencel, 42 epi warp, if that makes a difference. TIA

Depending on how you repair broken warps, I'dd use that system. You might want to replace 1/3 of the threads in each section, weave a cm of tabby, then replace the next 1/3, etc. etc. to help keep the tension and minimize the mess of pinned ends at the fell line.

Thanks, Del. I was wondering how to deal with the pins. I can probably wind 2 -3 ends around each pin but that's still a lot of pins.

How do you plan to get even tension across all the warp threads after you change some of them?
