I'm quite new to using my Ashford RH--am wondering how people "sit" at this loom? I've tried positioning the back "indents" against a table but somehow doesn't seem very secure or comfortable. I've used it flat on a table but seems like I'm reaching too high--maybe just use a higher chair? Suggestions? Thanks!

I bought the stands for mine. Works better than putting on table for me.

I prefer to stand with the loom clamped to a table that is at a height that is easy on my back. I can see the whole loom and looking down gives me a good perspective to manipulate the threads.

I use an adjustable ironing board to hold the loom as I warp.  Then when I'm ready to weave I lower the ironing board, sit down and weave.

I like to keep the loom on my stomach so I can feel how hard or how softly I'm beating.  Things need different beats.

The ironing board gives me space to put things, too.  I prefer my ironing board to the stand, which I gave to the guild auction.
