Hi! I'm Jenn and I live in Whitby on.  Looking to purchase a table or floor loom with a minimum 32" weaving width.  Im new to this and my goal is to weave a wrap to carry my babes in!!

Does anyone have any leads on a loom for sale near me? Or in the windsor area as I travel there frequently and have family there.

Advice also welcome!

Thanks in advance!

If you have a baby you want a wrap for, I suggest you buy fabric or buy a wrap.  If you are still at the planning stage for both, it's more realistic.  A baby wrap is more of a technical fabric with use requirements; it could be made on a table loom, but would be much easier and faster with a floor loom.  I would suggest a four harness counterbalance like a Leclerc Mira.  These are common, inexpensive, and will do many things well.  I would suggest a starter project of towels that will give you some experience in establishing a consistent beat and in seeing how sett affects fabric stability.

If you are still looking for a loom, I have a 36" Leclerc Artisat for sale.  Some accessories come with it.  If interested, please contact me.  I do not live in the Whitby area, but can deliver.
