Hi.  I picked up  a Gallinger 4 harness counterbalance loom this weekend.  In taking it apart to move it, the cords from  harness to treadles were cut.  There are 4 openings in the frame above the treadles/ below the harnesses.  2 have rollers, 2 are just holes.  Does anyome have a Gallinger and could post a picture of the tie-up?  Rebecca

There are two Gallinger looms on ebay right now.  The Mannings in East Berlin, PA are the place to go for all things Gallinger.  They were the sole source for these looms for many years until production stopped in the early 1980's.

The Gallinger 4 shaft counterbalanced looms were direct tie-up.  Each shaft tied to one treadle only.
