I love finding collections of crochet cottons and other neat threads and yarns in the thrift shop, but storing all those threads on their cardboard tubes is an issue.

So, I have come up with a neat way of organizing them:

Happy Weaving!

Noreen, Thanks for a great video.  I have bags and bags of crochet cotton and this is a great way to minimize the space and make them ready for weaving.

I love your bobbin winder.  Can you direct me to an online source for them?

Thanks!

It is just like my two, one for my in house loom and one in the studio. They're 'Swedish bobbin winders' and I recall seeing them in the Glimakra catalog, or perhaps when Unicorn carried Glimakra products.....wonderful...you can fill bobbins and weave when the power goes out!  Just need to drop a little sewing machine oil in the 2 oil holes periodically and fill-away!

I love this idea. I think I'm going to get started on my yarn stash tonight. At least it'll LOOK smaller.
