I thought I had a couple of sources bookmarked for wool singles for weaving fabric, but I cant find them and was hoping someone here would know of some good sources.  I have the following page still, BUT am actually looking for something finer. http://www.camillavalleyfarm.com/knit/woolsingle.htm

Thanks!

I don't know the source of Camilla Valley wool, but Briggs and Little has a lot more colors and the same weight. I know your looking for finer, but this will weave at 16 epi in twill for their blankets. As far as Briggs and Little, make sure you get the same dye lot per color for a project. The skein tag will indicate the lot #.

I think what Camilla has is too heavy, I want it for garments (not overly heavy ones) rather than blankets, which is why I am trying to find something more fine.  I will definitely look at what Glimraka is selling.  Thank yoU!

Ah, now I know the product you want to weave. I will in fact be using the Briggs and Little for a coat, but you are wright about needing finer for a shirt or similar. It would work for heavy wool pants though because I have pants made of this weight from a manufacturer. I tell ya though, I'll never be cold. :)

i have some cones of merino wool single that were spun at a mill here in Michigan from local wool.  they are natural (ecru) color.  how much are you looking for?  I think my cones are about 1# each.
