Looks like that didn't work. :-) Let's try it again! I actually don't need to ask the question now. I found the answer. I had purchased 30 cones of yarn on CraigsList and was wondering how to tell the age of the yarn.

It would be hard to know the age of the yarn unless you had a manf label inside. I  would be more concerned about the condition of the yarn. What type of yarn is it? Does it smell moldy, does it break easy, is the inside the same color as the outside layer? These are all questions you need to ask yourself.

Half of the yarns broke very easily. Even so I got a good deal. There was the yarn, two weaving books and a Schacht warping board for $75.00. I'm a happy lady. Now if my loom would just show up!
