I am wondering if there are any fiber events going on or great places to shop?

Thanks Lori

New Mexico has one of the best booklets available that has what they call Fiber Trails on it.  I'm sure there is one online at the New Mexico Traveler's Bureau.  We have used it on several trips to the area and found great hand weavers, yarn studios, etc.  The link for the fiber arts trails is HERE.

Hello all, Just wanted to let you know there is a strong weaving guild in southern New Mexico based in Las Cruces. We are the Mesilla Valley Weavers guild and we now have a weavolution group. Check us out!

The International Folk Craft Festival is going on in Sante Fe, search for their link and check their timing against your trip, might be worth the drive!

Also completely unfiber related but if you like sparkling wine, this is a great wine, folks came from France http://www.gruetwinery.com/
