A recent update for the Kindle Fire added an icon to the lower right corner of the browser window.  This new icon (that looks like a little box with arrows at each corner) is used to enter full screen mode.  Full screen mode hides the navigation bar at the bottom of each screen and the tab bar at the top.  In full screen mode you cannot accidentally tap on the system 'Back' arrow and unexpectedly exit WIF 'n Proof.  To exit full screen mode, slide up the arrow at the center bottom of the screen.

Thanks Helen that is a good tip! I have Wif N Proof on the iPad, but can definitely appreciate the added benefit of this functionality! :)

Cheers,

I already had a Nook, but when I heard this could work on a Kindle Fire, that made up my mind.  I'm still figuring out the Kindle and have downloaded some books and apps, but I'm not sure what I need to know before I go to your site and sign up for the Kindle program.  Do I need the Kindle e-mail address for my Kindle?  Or do I just go to your site and buy it like I do on the Amazon site and have it automatically download when I'm in a WIFI zone?  (You can see I 'm new to this stuff, and I don't have WIFI at home, so it takes a little doing for me to get there -- but I'm persistent!)

I can't find my User guide after downloaded and am wonderingi if I need to use a @kindle e-mail address. Any thoughts?

Hi Chris

The user guide is a very large pdf and is probably better downloaded to your home computer.  Amazon has a free desktop app called "Send to Kindle" that facilitates sending a pdf file to the Kindle.  If both your desktop and the Kindle are connected to the same wifi, the transfer is quite fast and the pdf goes into the 'Docs" tab.  Once you have it on the Kindle, you can put it onto the 'Favorites' shelf.

The link at Amazon for the 'Send to Kindle' desktop app is www.amazon.com/sendtokindle

It is available for both the PC and the Mac.

I had no trouble finding it in the iPad app store, but, can't find it for the Kindle Fire. ????????

WIF 'n Proof is only available through my website - www.WIFnProof.com or from Sara at The Woolgatherers, and not in the Apple app store.  It is available for the iPhone, the iPad, the Kindle Fire, the Nook Color, and most Android and Blackberry smartphones and tablets.  There is an online demo available to try before you buy.
